Trainer Georgina Nicholls is relishing the start of the jumps campaign, despite the long prolonged dry spell which has hampered all trainers' preparations during the summer.

The ex-wife of 14 times champion trainer Paul, renewed her trainer’s licence back in 2023, and can’t wait to get stuck into another long season. “ It’s nice to get rolling now.” she told me after parking her car up after another long day.

“We've had a little bit of rain and hopefully that'll keep going and we can get this jump season off to a proper start.Yeah, it's frustrating. I mean, it's the same for everybody really, but there are things in the world you can do things about, but the weather sadly isn't one of them.”
