Trainer Jane Williams, like the majority of jump trainers have been praying for rain. Much to her and others delight that wish was granted recently with the heavens opening up around the country.

The west country trainer admits, it has been a struggle during the summer months.

“My horses have needed a run this season because we use a lot of grass gallops, as well as I've got all weather and sand and wood chip, whatever, but I do use the fields quite a bit and we have found that the horses have gone sort of just needing a bit of more work.”

Williams, was on a long losing run until her fortunes changed recently when Mwabani won at Chepstow, and it was a moment she had been waiting for.
